Review System

POSTFORM maintains a diverse, independent and professional review system to ensure a fair and transparent process. Each work is reviewed separately by jurors from different fields and evaluated through originality, research value, practical capability and social impact.

Jury Composition

Distinct professional perspectives form a complete assessment. Every juror reviews independently and remains accountable for their own score.
01

Independent Design Expert

Evaluates originality, design language, formal expression and professional resolution, determining whether the work establishes a clear, independent and recognizable point of view.

The independent design expert considers the origin of the concept, design method, visual or spatial language, control of detail and final presentation. Novelty alone is not sufficient: the idea must be developed into a coherent system whose outcome clearly supports the author’s central proposition.

02

Academic & Research Expert

Evaluates research methods, theoretical grounding, cultural context and academic contribution, determining whether the work demonstrates sufficient depth and lasting discursive value.

The academic and research expert checks whether the project question is clear, sources are reliable, methods are appropriate and conclusions are logically connected to the design outcome. Work involving cultural, social or public issues must define its context, audience and likely impact rather than relying on surface symbolism.

03

Industry Practice Expert

Evaluates functional realization, applied value, technical feasibility and industry impact, determining whether the work responds to real issues and produces positive practical outcomes.

The industry practice expert evaluates whether a project can move from concept to application within realistic conditions of production, construction, operation, service or digital delivery. Functional integrity, materials, cost, maintenance, safety, user feedback and long-term value are considered.

04

Jury Chair

Oversees procedure, enforces conflict-of-interest rules, verifies scores and resolves disputes to ensure consistent standards and procedural fairness. The Chair does not replace the independent judgment of other jurors.

The Jury Chair verifies juror eligibility and declarations, ensures scores are submitted independently and initiates review when results are anomalous or evidence is uncertain. The Chair may require a procedural remedy or reassignment, but may not change another juror’s score or select a work by personal preference.

Selection Standard

2/3

Each work must be reviewed by at least four jurors. No fewer than two-thirds of participating jurors must award a score of 80 or above before the work may pass review and receive official exhibition status.

Conflict of interest: Where a juror has a collaborative, employment, supervisory, family or other relationship that may affect independent judgment, the juror must declare the conflict and withdraw. Another qualified juror will complete the review.

Read detailed explanation

The two-thirds threshold is rounded up according to the number of valid jurors: at least 3 of 4, 4 of 5, or 4 of 6 jurors must award 80 or above. Reaching the threshold qualifies a work for final confirmation but does not guarantee selection. Authorship, rights, thematic relevance and the accuracy of submitted materials remain subject to verification. A recused juror is excluded from the denominator and the replacement juror’s valid score is counted.

Eligibility review verifies submission scope, authorship, rights and completeness. At least four jurors then score independently without seeing one another’s results. Cross review examines scoring variance, recusals and key facts; the Jury Chair confirms only that due process has been completed. Final results are archived under a unique record number, with all amendments retained.

Quarterly Jury Roster

Each quarter is reviewed by an independently assembled panel. Completed quarters first disclose juror codes, seats and fields; legal names and full professional profiles are released together in the annual disclosure.

Annual disclosure rule

To reduce the risk of contact, lobbying or any influence during active review, the names, professional records, assigned quarters and recusal records of all 2026 jurors will be published together in March 2027. After publication, the information becomes part of the permanent public archive and anonymous codes are retired.
